This blog will be a journey through my quiltwork and some artwork and my life...sometimes the muse' is not active but I'll try I was a gourd artist until my hands gave out, now I thoroughly enjoy playing with fabric and paint. Enjoy most everything that nature has to offer. Family and friends are very important. I live in the beautiful Peace River Area of northeastern BC.

April Journal quilt
I'm trying to do a journal quilt per month using new techniques. Life seems to get in the way often.
Yesterday I had fun playing with Caran D'Ache Neocolor 11 crayons.
After many attempts I finally came up with one that I liked well enough to post. I need to play with them more to get more intense colors.
I have so many supplies for my 'gourd art' and am finding I can use most of it for art quilts too :)

I love this! Did you quilt it, then fill in with the crayon?
Or did you play with crayon, then quilt it?
I love your drawing. I've been working on my sunflower quilt for the QuiltArt Flower Power Challenge. I've played with watercolor crayons a little, but your drawing is much better.
