This blog will be a journey through my quiltwork and some artwork and my life...sometimes the muse' is not active but I'll try I was a gourd artist until my hands gave out, now I thoroughly enjoy playing with fabric and paint. Enjoy most everything that nature has to offer. Family and friends are very important. I live in the beautiful Peace River Area of northeastern BC.

Sisters
I have been so lazy keeping up my blog, just too much happening.
This is a piece I did in Pamela's class, the challenge was to take a palette of one of the masters and use the same palette to create a composition. I chose one by Henry Matisse, re-created it in fabric and then the third one is the same color palette and my composition. I call it 'Sisters' , my dear oldest sister played the piano and I always wanted to play stand up bass :) Using Pamela's method there is no drawing, the scissors are the drawing tool.
I have another one I started in the class but haven't finished yet. Still snowing up our way, and I can tell you I am sure ready for spring!!
