Easy Street

I am busy working on Bonnie Hunter's mystery quilt, Easy Street. Have a few units together, but as you can see many more to go :)  Have exhausted my stash of black and whites for this project.
I am hosting a block swap on a FB group Just Us Quilters...we are swapping a big Star Block from Missouri Quilting. The finished block measures 25" and they are very addicting!  Here are a few I made for my swap partners.

I have mailed out 16, so this is just a sampling. Nine of these blocks make a good sized queen quilt. Head on over and watch the youtube if you are intersted

Have a great day, and happy sewing in 2013!  Are you going to Quilt BC? I am and am so excited...my cousin and I are doing a road trip and both can't wait to get to Penticton. http://www.canadianquilter.com/events/quilt-canada-2013.php

I have been waiting for this post of your blocks for ES, Rhoda. I just knew they were going to be really interesting and they have not disappointed. Cannot wait to see the "rest of the story".

Great blocks, Rhoda -- for both projects. I've never made a 25" block before. Whoa!

Not going to Quilt BC, but will be there in spirit. Look for my piece, "Mutt and Jeff", in the special SAQA Western Canada exhibit, "Meet the Best of the West", which will be on show. Have fun on your road trip!

Your Easy Street is looking wonderful! Such a lot of sewing, but worth it. I have just started to work on getting the two blocks put together. I love how it goes together.

Hi Rhoda, your easy street colours are fantastic. I am looking forward to that coming together. I have my components all made and will be constructing the top together this weekend...then I will have to think about borders.
cheers...kas

I have been to a few quilt shops in the last few days and all I could see were black and white prints for Easy Street - and I didn't even black and white! I look forward to seeing your progress. Enjoy your blck party.
