A Finish and on the Design Wall

I finished my grand daughters quilt...all washed and on her bed. It has mauve minky on the back so is very cozy.
And here is what is on the design wall, these are such fun little blocks to make and this is my first solid colored quilt. Lot's of applique stitching ahead of me.
I am not sure what color I'll use for sashing...was thinking of white or shades of red??? What do you think?
Hope you are all having a great week...we are getting snow and more snow!  Driving is not recommended and I was up town today and really couldn't tell where I was at half the time!  Tomorrow is step #2 for Easy Street, better get the cutting table cleared off.

Your finished quilt is lovely; how do you like sewing with minky?

As for the fun flowers, I'd be tempted to skip the sashing altogether, but perhaps add a border...or not. :-)

Stay warm and safe!

Margaret, the minky works very well on the frame...have heard it is not fun to do on a home machine. I have a viking mega quilter on a inspira frame. Thanks for dropping by.

I avoid solids and I avoid grey, but your flower quilt may just have converted me.

Those flowers are beautiful, I would use as is, no sashing at all!
